January 5, 2023 Update

As I sit here to write an update I have a prayer request to present to you. Please pray for Brad’s current cold. He’s got a headache, sinus pressure, drainage, low grade fever. Same stuff my children and I had a week before. It may seem like nothing but I think this is harder on Brad than most healthier people.  Yesterday Brad went to an Immunologist/allergy specialist and had to do a breath test. He has improved by 10% y’all! In 3 months!! That’s big for Brad! He’s noticed increased energy, strength coming back, a good appetite. 😉 His Dr was very very happy with this. He’s (Dr.) treating another middle aged man who was sick with “The Stuff” about a year before Brad. Not nearly as sick and way less time in the hospital. He too, is on disability, oxygen support, etc. The great thing is he is improving each time the Dr. sees him!! So what we’re finding out is that Brad’s healing progress is going to take time but his lungs will heal. (Nurse Carol from the ICU had told Brad tha...

Prayer Request for Wholeness of Healing

I was working on another update but this seemed to be a little more important. Brad had a CT scan done recently and it showed that he has continued pulmonary fibrosis. Before I go any further... Let's remember that Brad was on his death bed when God raised him up out of it. He now walks on his own, pretty fast I might add. He goes out to his workshop and works on things. Manages our fires in the wood stove. Goes up the stairs to go to bed. He is still on oxygen however it's not much. We were given a treadmill recently and he is walking on that every other day and doing a full mile. Brad is determined and we don't see this as a means to give up.  As a reminder to each of us as a believer let's think upon these scriptures to build us up in our faith. Isaiah 11:3-4 According to Ephesians 2:5-7 we are seated with Christ in the heavenly places, and we take the authority we have to exercise in the Name of JESUS to pray in Faith believing! see also - Ephesians 6:10-18  Let...

A Time To Reveal

“To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die;…” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Flashes of the past 11 months of life fly by in my mind as I weep over my husband with gratefulness. He asks me, “Are you okay?” Tearfully looking at him I say, “Yes.” “Well what brought all this on?”, he asks. “The Holy Spirit,” I reply. I just weep for about 1/2 hour under the heavy presence of the Lord acknowledging His awesome miracle working power in our lives. (I started typing this up in August of this year.)  At that moment I was realizing just how very very fortunate we both were that Brad was alive and well. I wanted him to feel how humbled I was and how grateful I am to God. So much to the point that I began to weep under the weightiness of everything that has happened. To write this blog and keep going there will be poetic moments and pauses to bunny trail back to memories of pain, beauty, observing the Holy Majesty of our ...

Where to start?

With the many wonderful blogs out there to read, where should I start this story? How about a little snippet of the author of this blog? Intrigued? I hope so! To date I'm a very blessed wife with a very loving and hard working husband. We have been married for 10 years as of this past May. We've had so many triumphs and losses, we've been through hell and high water. Fallen in love more deeply than we could ever imagine! We've been able to "co-create" little people from our love of one another and our Heavenly Father. There are four of these lovely treasures walking around with us on this journey together. My sister-in-law's wedding reception 4 years ago! Each of us has a beautiful testimony to give and I thought for this post I'd start with mine. It wasn't really me that inspired myself to start this... It was God. Yes, He spoke to me and put this dream/desire in my heart. To tell the story of His Love for me, for my family, a...
